2 out of 5 stars You need a stack of batteries!!!!   February 14, 2010

I bought this toy for my son. I received it on 10th February 2010.
I immediately put the SEVEN batteries needed into it to make it work and he raced around with his older sister playing with it. It's easy to use, he got the hang of the steering straight away and he's not quite 3 yet. It looks good and looks fairly sturdy, he's stood on the controls a couple of times and they still work.
However, it is now the 14th February 2010 and the batteries are almost dead! I wouldn't say he's used it excessively as he got other new toys that day, which he's played with a lot, so I am not happy that the SEVEN batteries needed lasting less than 4 days! I wouldn't mind if you could use rechargeables, but it seems you can't!!
I wouldn't recommend this product on the basis it will cost me a fortune in batteries as my son loves it.
